Authorities in La Crosse, Wisconsin, are intensifying their search for 22-year-old graduate student Eliotte Heinz, who was reported missing after a night out with friends. She was last seen walking near the waterfront around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday after leaving Bronco’s Bar, where she had spent time with acquaintances until the bar closed at 2:30 a.m.
Heinz, who is described as 5-foot-4 with blonde hair and blue eyes, was wearing a white T-shirt and jean shorts at the time of her disappearance. Despite efforts from her family, friends, and local authorities, there have been no leads in locating her.
In a heartfelt message on social media, the Heinz family expressed their gratitude for the community’s overwhelming support and emphasized the importance of sharing Eliotte’s information widely. They implored residents in the La Crosse area to check their home security footage for anything unusual that might aid the investigation, stating that even the tiniest detail could be crucial.
Heinz’s mother, Amber, shared with Fox News Digital that Eliotte was pursuing a degree in mental health counseling at Viterbo University. Police are actively reviewing all information and leads related to her case.
This disappearance follows a tragic incident six years ago involving University of South Carolina student Samantha Josephson, highlighting ongoing concerns for student safety in similar circumstances. Authorities continue to explore all avenues in their search for Eliotte.
