Sarah Browne from the Progressive Youth Organisation (PYO) emphasized, âNow is a remarkable time to be young and Indigenous in Guyana. Our current state is a product of hard work and dedication.â She highlighted the administrationâs strong policies in housing and education, asserting, âMany among us are the first in our families to attend university and achieve homeownership, thanks to the PPP/C.â
Vanda Pio, a youthful candidate from Region 8, rallied support for the party, emphasizing the ongoing opportunities for youth. âLet us work together to secure our future,â she urged the audience.
Economist Roger Rogers acknowledged the partyâs commitment to investing in the youth, stating, âThey are the pillars of our future.â Azizi Christiani from the Essequibo Coast echoed sentiments of inclusion, underlining the partyâs belief in youth as active leaders now and not just in the future.
Former cricketer Steven Jacobs reminded attendees to prioritize leadership qualities over personalities in the upcoming election. The rally concluded with vibrant cultural performances, tying together political enthusiasm with a spirit of unity.
