India secured a convincing 2-0 series win over West Indies, securing their 61.9% points on the World Test Championship table and moving up to third place.
The final day’s play saw India knock off the 121-run target with ease, thanks to a solid performance from KL Rahul who ended unbeaten on 58.
Rahul’s series tally now stands at 192, just behind Yashasvi Jaiswal’s impressive 219. Kuldeep Yadav led the wicket-taker list with 12 strikes.
This was also a significant win for captain Shubman Gill, marking his first series victory after drawing 2-2 in England.
The Indian team demonstrated their dominance, bowling 200 overs without conceding any runs and setting a target of 121 to chase.
However, the West Indies struggled to cope with the pressure, losing two wickets on the final morning. B Sai Sudharsan’s poor form might raise doubts about his future in the team.
The win marked India’s tenth consecutive victory against the West Indies and their 122nd Test win overall.
