According to a brief statement released by the Chinese side on Monday, China's Commerce Minister conducted a video call with his German counterpart to discuss trade relations, as days before crucial talks with Brussels. Wang and Reiche reportedly exchanged views regarding the economic and trade relationships between China and Germany, as well as those between China and Europe. The German side has not issued a statement, and they did not respond to a request for comment from the South China Morning Post.
