GP's Husband Charged with Murder After Body Found in Norfolk Home
Mark Cain, 45, has been charged with the murder of Dr. Hannah Terry, 45, after her body was discovered at a residence in Fern Hill, Dersingham, Norfolk. The charges came after police were alerted by the ambulance service on Sunday morning.
According to BBC UK, the husband of a general practitioner has been charged with her murder following her discovery deceased at a private residence. The body of Dr. Hannah Terry, who was also known as Hannah Cain and was 45 years old, was located at a property in Fern Hill, Dersingham, in Norfolk, on Sunday. Mark Cain, who is 45 and resides in Fern Hill, faced murder charges on Tuesday.
He appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court wearing a black sweatshirt, where he only provided confirmation of his age, name, and address. He was not required to enter a plea and is scheduled to return to court on Thursday. Prosecutor Jacqui Hanlon informed the court that the ambulance service contacted the police at 02:25 BST on Sunday. She stated that Terry was found in an upstairs bedroom unresponsive and not conscious.
A post-mortem examination reportedly indicated that a blunt force injury had been inflicted on the right side of her head, and there was also an injury that could suggest neck compression. District judge Matthew Bone ordered that the defendant remain in custody pending his appearance at King's Lynn Crown Court on Thursday.
Terry was listed as part of the team at Grimston Medical Centre, which ceased operations on Monday and Tuesday subsequent to her passing. The centre resumed operations on Wednesday and stated it would not comment regarding the details of the unfortunate death of its colleague, Dr. Hannah Terry. Dersingham village is noted as being part of the Royal Family's estate of Sandringham in west Norfolk.
