According to the South China Morning Post, Hong Kong could be in store for its first real taste of autumn early next week, with temperatures in some areas dropping below 20 degrees Celsius (50 Fahrenheit) by Tuesday as a strong northeast monsoon approaches the Guangdong coast.

The Hong Kong Observatory stated that this monsoon is anticipated to bring windy weather to the area over the weekend, with strong winds expected at times in offshore locations and on high ground on Saturday.

Furthermore, the South China Morning Post noted that temperatures throughout southern China were projected to decrease between early and the middle of next week due to the dry replenishment associated with the monsoon.
