According to the South China Morning Post, the city's most active week for listings since July occurred subsequent to a third quarter characterized by mixed results, during which 14 out of 30 newly listed stocks debuted at prices lower than their offer prices.

On Tuesday, Hong Kong saw four companies commence trading after they collectively raised HK$14.4 billion (US$1.83 billion). However, three of these companies opened below their stated offer prices, which added further strain to an already subdued month for initial public offerings (IPOs).

Shenzhen Kinwong Electronic, which priced its shares at the upper end of the marketed range at HK$69.88, experienced a drop of up to 8.1 per cent upon its debut in Hong Kong after raising HK$5.1 billion. Nevertheless, that stock subsequently recovered those losses and increased by 10.2 per cent above its offer price, marking the strongest performance among the four debuts.

These fluctuating debuts followed a third quarter for Hong Kong listings that was mixed. The city's bourse operator reported that 30 companies listed in the city during the quarter, which included major IPO debuts from Zhongji Innolight, Shein, and Luxshare, as of September 29.
