Chongqing Residence Features Radical Redesign Utilizing High Ceilings for Extra Space
According to the South China Morning Post, a residence in a leafy area outside Chongqing, southwest China, underwent a radical redesign that leveraged high ceilings to incorporate additional half-levels and storage solutions.
The South China Morning Post reported that a radical redesign of a home located in a leafy area on the outskirts of Chongqing, southwest China, utilized the existing high ceilings to introduce extra half-levels and budget-friendly storage. This residence spans 2,000 square feet (185 square metres), and it is noted that this is not a typical compact city apartment.
In contrast to the common layout where an entry leads into a living room or kitchen, Zhou Shu found that upon arrival, her wardrobe and an expansive bathroom were situated just past the foyer, with her bedroom, which features glass walls, positioned between them.
On the upper level of the residence, there are areas designated for living, dining, and a full-size kitchen, as well as a garden located at the top.
