Hampshire Police reported that a third teenage boy has been arrested following an incident where five teenagers were stabbed at a Halloween party on Saturday. One victim remains in critical condition, while others have been discharged. Authorities are reviewing evidence as the motive for the stabbings remains unclear.
According to BBC UK, a third teenage boy has been taken into custody after five teenagers were stabbed during a Halloween party. Police were contacted shortly after 22:30 GMT on Saturday regarding an incident on Park Road in Chandler's Ford, Hampshire, where an unidentified group had entered the event.
One 17-year-old boy is currently hospitalized in a life-threatening state, while the remaining individuals have been released from the hospital. A 16-year-old from Bristol has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in custody, as do two other boys who were arrested on Monday.
Two witnesses informed the BBC that a confrontation began after a group entered over a garden fence, though the reason for the stabbings was not established. One of the teenagers mentioned seeing someone they knew pull up their shirt and state they had been stabbed while standing in the hallway near the exit. Later, this individual was seen lying outside the front of the house with someone applying pressure to the wound.
Hampshire Police established cordons on parts of Park Road and the adjacent Valley Road. Det Ch Insp Elizabeth Pirie, the senior investigating officer, stated that the team is working diligently to understand the events and identify any individuals involved, noting that three boys have been arrested but information from the public is still needed.
Ch Insp Rachel Noble, the district commander for Eastleigh, commented that the violence witnessed on Saturday night was likely extremely distressing and concerning for those present at the party. She emphasized that support is available to everyone affected and encouraged people to report any relevant information to aid the ongoing investigation. Local officers will continue to be present in the Park Road area.
