Daughter Karli Aylesworth has expressed significant doubts regarding her stepfather, Brian Hooker’s, departure from The Bahamas. According to the daughter, she believes that Mr. Hooker is allegedly using her mother’s serious illness as a pretext to leave the country. This suspicion arose after he was released from a local jail following five days of detention.
Initially, Mr. Hooker stated his commitment to remaining in The Bahamas to continue the search for his missing wife, Lynette Hooker. His attorney, Terrel Butler, had publicly affirmed this dedication, suggesting that Mr. Hooker’s primary focus was the ongoing search efforts.
However, the situation changed abruptly. Shortly after his release from custody, Mr. Hooker shifted his plans. His attorney informed news outlets that, in addition to the distress over his wife’s disappearance, Mr. Hooker had received urgent news concerning his mother’s critical health condition.
Consequently, Mr. Hooker traveled to the United States, reportedly heading to Atlanta, to be by his mother’s side during this challenging time. Karli Aylesworth maintains that the sequence of events—from his release to his sudden departure—does not align with what she finds believable.
