Two members of the U.S. Army sustained injuries after an encounter with a brown bear during a routine training exercise in Alaska. The incident occurred when soldiers from the 11th Airborne Division were participating in a land navigation training event near Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson’s Arctic Valley training area in Anchorage.
According to the division’s spokesperson, the soldiers received immediate medical attention and are currently under care.
